Green Day – American Idiot

Idea 1 – My first idea is to have a music video that had a narrative in it as well as band footage. The narrative would be based around Syria and would feature lots of news stories and footage from Syria. This would be done to the song American idiot because it suits the lyrics because they are about people believing what they see in the news. So I would have people looking at the news as well and them believing it but then footage from Syria that wouldn't be the same.  All of this would be mixed with band footage as well.

Idea 2 – The Second idea is to just have band footage throughout, this is due to the amount of music videos around this genre that don’t have a narrative to the videos.

Black Veil Brides – In the End

Idea 1 – This is an idea for this music song and it would be just video of the band all the way through. This would be good because it would still look like a music video and would be better to film. This song isn't really suited for a narrative so it would be very difficult to do so. 

Idea 2 - This song is about not being afraid to die. Most people aren't afraid to die because it is going to happen eventually. What people are scared of is what happens to when you do die and what will happen to you and everyone else and who will tell your story. For the video I am going have someone that is on deaths door and they will be scared and asking people to tell their story. I will mix in shots of the person at a younger age and this will be the telling of the story of the person. all of this will be mixed with band footage as well.

Decision

For the music video I am going to be doing Black Veil Brides - In The End. I will be doing Idea 2 because it has a good balance between the narrative and band footage. The narrative fits the lyrics of the song and will be a perfect match for the song. I have spoken to my client about this and they have agreed with my decision and they feel like it is a good thing to do as well.
